5 Ways to Break Out of the “What If” Trap and Start Creating
Let’s cut the bullshit: the what ifs are killing your future.
They’re keeping you stuck in the Waiter Economy, waiting on callbacks, waiting on approval, waiting on a system that has already proven it’s collapsing.
You don’t need another pep talk. You need a system to get your ass out of the “what if” trap and into action. Here’s how:
1. Name the Cage
Your fears feel bigger because they’re swirling around in your head, invisible. Write them down.
What if I fail?
What if nobody cares?
What if I lose money?
Truth bomb: if you can name the fear, you can strip it of its power. Plus get this—much of our fear lies in the ‘anticipation’ of doing something, and all the ‘what if’ stories we make up in our heads to keep us safe. So when you get past all the stories of why you’re afraid, you can move into taking action.
2. Flip the Script
Every “what if” has an opposite. Write those down too.
What if I fail? → What if I succeed?
What if nobody cares? → What if the right people finally see me?
What if I lose money? → What if I make more than I’ve ever made before?
You’ve trained your brain to scan for danger. Train it to scan for possibility.
3. Shrink the Leap
Fear thrives when the step looks massive. Shrink it down.
Don’t plan a 10-module course. Write one post.
Don’t try to “go viral.” Record a 60-second video.
Don’t wait for a $5K client. Offer something for $50.
Action kills fear faster than thinking ever will.
4. Stop Waiting for Permission
This is rebellion. Stop asking if you’re ready, qualified, or allowed.
If it excites you and you can do it today, move on it. Success loves speed.
Permission is the currency of the Waiter Economy. Creation is the currency of the new one.
5. Anchor to the Creator Economy
Every action you take is a middle finger to the system that wants you waiting.
You’re not just making a video, a post, or an offer—you’re building sovereignty, one move at a time.
This isn’t about perfect outcomes. It’s about momentum. It’s about trust. It’s about becoming someone who doesn’t freeze when the world tells you to wait.
The Rebellion Challenge
Pick ONE thing off your power list and do it today. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Today.
The what ifs aren’t real. But your freedom is.
🔥 Welcome to the Creator Rebellion. The only way out of the Waiter Economy is through creation.
